Movement and Cancer

Movement Is Medicine: Structured Exercise Program May Lower Risk of Cancer Recurrence and Death for Some Colon Cancer Survivors

New study results show that a structured exercise program following surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy reduced the risk of recurrent or new cancer and increased survival for patients with stage III and high-risk stage II colon cancer. The research will be presented at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, taking place May 30-June 3 in Chicago.
