not-a-sprint month
At Cancer Active, we believe that life with cancer isn’t a sprint — it’s an endurance event. That’s why, every September, we host Not A Sprint Month, beginning with the Not A Sprint Ultra Races followed by a series of community-driven events designed to raise awareness, support patients and caregivers, and fund programs that help people live fully through and beyond cancer.
Not A Sprint Ultra Races
Join us August 31st for a 3, 6, or 12 hour race on the Thermal Belt Rail Trail in Forest City, NC.
Not A Sprint Concert Celebration

Attitude & Effort Golf Tournament
Held at Meadowbrook Golf Club, followed by food, drinks, and the conclusion of our month-long Silent Auction.
