Who founded Cancer Active and why?

Cancer Active was founded by Kenny Capps after his own diagnosis with multiple myeloma. His experience navigating cancer treatment while staying physically active inspired him to create a community that empowers patients beyond their diagnosis and advocating for cancer patient quality of life and equity in cancer care.

What kind of support does Cancer Active provide?

We offer wellness programs, educational resources, patient advocacy, and community events to support cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.

What is the Cancer Active Patient Portal (CAPP)?

CAPP is a digital platform that connects cancer patients with resources, support groups, wellness strategies, and educational tools to help navigate their care.

Francesca is a level III research clinical dietitian nutritionist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she joined the Myeloma Service in 2021 with a focus on whole food, plant-based diet interventions.
Does Cancer Active offer financial assistance?
